Taking consistent, small actions is crucial for achieving large goals. emphasizes the importance of overcoming excuses and starting with what you have, even if it's imperfect 1. He shares his own experience of using a simple iPhone to record interviews and publishing them despite their initial quality 1. Lewis also challenges listeners to take on a 30-day courage challenge, pushing them to face their fears and build self-belief 2.
You got to take action and do something. I took my iPhone and I said, I'm not going to allow technology and equipment that I don't know how to use. And being an interviewer that I've never done, hold me back. I'm going to press record. I'm going to sit it down on the table and ask someone a question. I'm going to publish it. And it was bad. It was bad, but I published it and then I built momentum.

He also stresses that building a brand is an evolving process and encourages flexibility and adaptation over time 4.
You need to learn how to build your personal brand. And it's still not clear to me who you are, who you help and how you help them back to day one, I'm not clear. So why would I follow you if I don't know you can support or serve me or inspire me or entertain me of one of those categories, or I don't know how I can refer someone to you.

Sales Mindset
A successful sales mindset focuses on service and understanding customer needs. Rory Vaden explains that sales is a numbers game and should be approached as an opportunity to serve rather than a battle to win 5. He emphasizes the importance of asking the right questions to uncover customer pain points and desires, making the sales process more about helping than selling 6. Lewis and Rory agree that fear in sales is self-centered and can be overcome by focusing on the mission to serve others 5.
The biggest problem that people have in selling is that they're self centered. The reason we don't sell more is because we're focused on how do I make money, how do I convince people, and we approach it wrong. And I would say that sales has been taught wrong, done wrong, promoted wrong. We're big fans of cleaning this up and changing the way that people think.
